South East Community Links (SECL) works with and for the local communities in south-east Melbourne, creating better social and economic outcomes through providing essential services like financial aid and housing resettlement. Inspired by this community-minded purpose, we took a collaborative approach when it came to creating the organisation’s new branding, working with a steering committee made up of community members, SECL staff and board on the concepts and refinements. We created a simple and strong logo with interconnected lines, supported by patterns referencing different textiles from around the world. The colourful, engaging and connected results prove SECL’s maxim that we are more powerful when we work together.
