International Women’s Development Agency

The International Women’s Development Agency started in 1985 with a mission – to achieve gender equality for all women. Since then, they’ve worked across the globe supporting women and empowering them to lead. IWDA’s outreach is powerful, meaningful and life-changing, and, through their partnership with Organisasaun Haburas Moris (OHM) in Timor-Leste, their Rural Women’s Development project has empowered women economically. Anna Carlile went to Timor-Leste with IWDA and photographed these women and their businesses, capturing the women involved in this change through her intimate and engaging photography.
